As this year is the 80th anniversary of the Beano comic, the home of Dennis the Menace, the childrens’ Summer Reading Challenge 2018 theme is “Mischief Makers”.

On each visit to the library to borrow books, you can collect stickers to help find buried treasure. A certificate is awarded for all those who complete the challenge.

Don’t like Dennis the Menace? Don’t worry, you don’t have to read the books on the theme; just borrow and read at least 2 books from the library on 3 different visits to the library over the course of the summer holidays and you will still receive your stickers and certificate.

The challenge started on 14th July, so come along any time during the summer holidays.
